Founding Partner
Mike Nathan
Navy SAR Swimmer. Healthcare founder. Active in over twelve ventures. Still not done.
Mike Nathan grew up on Big Fish Lake in Cold Spring, Minnesota. He graduated from Saint John's University and went on to serve 4.5 years in the United States Navy as a Boatswain's Mate and Search and Rescue Swimmer, stationed in Japan, Hawaii, and Italy. He then completed his MBA at Concordia University in St. Paul.
That background tells you everything about how Mike operates. Disciplined. Mission-driven. Willing to go where others will not.
Today Mike is the Co-Founder and CEO of Mendota Health, a mobile wound care company delivering the most innovative and accessible advanced wound care treatments available, at home or on-site. Beyond Mendota, he is an active founder across Impero, Big Stone Capital Group, TurnSignl, EruptCinn, NEOS Elite Performance, La Virgen Rum, and FritzFinn. He serves on the boards of Brother Justus Whiskey Co., Vail Scientific, and Next Barn Studios, and has been a founder, investor, or advisor to over twelve startups including YourPath, Kaleidoscope Group, WalkWise, NightWare, Twin Ignition Start-up Garage, and Livio Health Group.
He is not a passive investor. He is a builder who happens to also invest.

Mike lives in Mendota Heights, Minnesota with his wife Sara and their two kids, Olivia and Fritz. He is a loyal Minnesota Vikings fan who enjoys reading, playing chess, drinking whiskey, smoking cigars, making chili, and laughing, mostly at himself.
I operate with the belief we are here to do good things for other people. Sometimes a well-intentioned company powered by motivated people is the best vehicle to have the biggest impact. My days are spent proving it.

Brian and his wife Shelley split time between Mendota Heights, Minnesota and Cape Coral, Florida. They are the proud parents of three children and two granddaughters.
Founding Partner
Brian Kueppers
He built it to $120 million. Sold it twice. Then started investing in the next one.
Brian Kueppers founded Apex Revenue Technologies in 1995 to solve a problem he understood deeply: patient billing in healthcare was broken. What followed was three decades of proof that he knew exactly how to fix it.
Apex grew to over $120 million in annual revenue through a partnership with Tonka Bay Equity Partners, working with some of the largest healthcare organizations in the country. In 2018 the company was sold to RevSpring, a portfolio company of GTCR. In 2024 it was sold again to Frazier Healthcare Partners. Brian had built something worth buying twice.
Beyond Apex, Brian has invested, developed, or redeveloped over 30 properties across multi-family, single-family, industrial, and retail projects. His depth in operating a mid-sized service and technology firm translates directly into how he evaluates real estate and how he evaluates companies at Exit 156.
A graduate of St. Thomas Academy and Saint John's University, Brian has built lasting relationships across the Midwest business community. He received the Saint John's University Entrepreneur of the Year Award in 2016, was named an honorary member of Sigma Beta Delta, and received the Distinguished Alumni Award in 2024.
